Pontefract's
best kept secret

About the Elizabeth Love Museum
Contained within the old 14th Century Guardhouse, the only remaining habitable part of Pontefract Castle, is an extensive collection of antiques collected by Elizabeth Love and her brother Joe left for the enjoyment of future generations,
This includes one of the finest collections of Castleford Pottery to be found in the UK and a superb display of Longcase Clocks, Antique Furniture and Objet D'art.
The building has over 400 years of history contained within its walls while the interior of the house has been retained as Elizabeth lived in it.
